Hi there! HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
I'm having some problems in thy to make special stain to show mast cells in freshwater fishes...
See, here we use toluidine blu and PAS to stain the histological blades and we are not beeing able to see the mast cells, even when we are sure to see it in the HE.
Someone has another tip of how to differenciate the mast cells in histological material of freshwater fishes?

Make sure your toluidine blue solution is pH 4.At higher pH the violet color of the mast cells will be hidden by the blue of other stained material.
