Hi, I am modeling of 2D plain strain model of soil under base excitation in bottom of model, 2 step defined and infinite element renamed in inp file and then imported. geostatic step completely finished (stress in finite element and infinite element is ok ) but second step (dynamic implicit) is not converge. Could you please help me solve this problem.

Firstly check your model geometry and all module. Second geostatic step has 2 kind. You can distinguish the difference by using abaqus documentation. But for the first guess you should increase the total time of the geostatic step. Third each step has some way to make the convergence easier. For example something like damping factor. Find the above in your specific step.

I have checked your model, please check followings,
1. Apply *MPC tie by editing the .inp file for the lateral boundaries.
2. You can replace geostatic with static step analysis type, it will not make big difference in your results. As i think infinite boundaries are supported by the geostatic analysis type. But *MPC tie is supported by geostatic, i am applying that for lateral boundaries.
