I am second year M. Tech. Civil-Structure student. I am going to analyze the scale models of reinforced concrete building of G+2, G+4 and G+6 storey for my dissertation work.
So please suggest me the scale of model so that I can get most appropriate results from the shake table test.
You can use a suitable scale, fitting into the size and load capacity of your shaking table. However, the accelerations and frequencies applied on to the model should be appropriately scaled to interpret the corresponding accelerations or frequencies in field. Iai (1989) presented similitude laws for the 1 g model tests from basic definitions of effective stress, strain and constitutive law, overall equilibrium and mass balance. A geometric scale factor, λ, was defined as the proportionality constant between the model and prototype geometry. Read the enclosed paper to understand the similitude.

The scaling factor depends on the geometry of your specimen and capacity of shaking table. For designing your scaled model, I suggest the following book:
