my data is gained from three groups of different nationalities but within each group I do not have any subcategories or variables for further studying the variance in the groups, mainly because the papers were written by more than one writer and in some cases the writers were male and female coauthors.
Hashem Farzanefar Is this an exploratory or confirmatory study? If the former, you could conduct a two-way ANOVA including sex and nationality as factors. Or, if you feel comfortable with it, you could conduct a linear mixed effects model which will give you more flexibility (i.e., examine nested random effects)
If it's a confirmatory study, you should not conduct any tests about subgroups that you made no predictions about.

I am conducting a study on research papers, so there are 3 groups based on nationality, but within groups I cannot make sure if the research papers are written by males or females, and therefore that is not my concern in this study, now I wonder if the statistics provided for within groups can be useful to be reported or should I just ignore it?
