Yes Liza, you need to report follow up studies in your Meta-analysis. However, this may depend on whether studies that did follow up have statistical and clinical homogeneity to warrant inclusion into your Meta-analysis.
Your other question "did you do a longer term follow up study after the study" : I think this question is not very clear. However, you can only do long term follow up if you are conducting primary studies but not secondary studies. You may please clarify us further if you need more answers.
