I am modelling the swelling of a poro-elastic cube using moisture swelling method in ABAQUS . I am trying to impose zero flux conditions on certain walls of the cube i.e the porous cube can absorb fluid from certain walls.Does anyone know how to achieve this in ABAQUS?
If not, can you analyze the steady state swelling of the cube by prescribing a flux load, given that there is finite flux for a limited duration.
I am currently using the SOILS steady state step and would like to continue this problem in ABAQUS.
Flux boundary conditions in swelling of porous media is performed in Dirichlet and Newman conditions due to the physical problem.If you describe me the physical problem, then I can help you to adjust the boundary conditions
I am trying to model the steady state swelling of the porous cube by specifying the pressure difference between the interior and exterior of the cube. However, I want the fluid to flow to be constrained to certain surfaces. For ex. something like a pipe feeding the cube that is impermeable, so that there is only fluid flow through the pipe causing deformation. I hope this is clear.
