Hi.
We make solid matrices based on ethyl cellulose. In these matrices we doped the luminophor (see, added file). A solid-state fluorescent sensor is obtained. This sensor is placed in saturated vapor of solvents (for example, acetone). We observe that in the presence of vapors the fluorescence of the sensor is instantly quenched. This phenomenon can be observed in time. The longer the sensor is in the saturated vapor, the more fluorescence is quenched. We remove the sensor from the box with the solvent on the air We are seeing recovery to the initial state. It is probable that all that is observed is due to the diffusion of vapor and additional coordination Zn atoms with the vapor molecules. Tell me, what is the nature of the observed phenomenon? Where can I read more about this?
Thank you!
