If you go to Fluent -> Flux Reports-> Total sensible heat transfer rate->Compute then its gives you the value of heat of reaction source in Watts. The fluent manual given in the link states that it is the sum of heat for all reactions.
However, if you do the volume integral of Heat release rate (W/m3), over the entire fluid domain (formula given by the attached image), the units 'W' match but the values come out to be different from that of heat of reaction source as mentioned above. Are both the methods same??
I am doing micro-combustion simulations in 2D tubes using detailed chemistry of methane. The model is totally laminar finite rate chemistry. No slip at walls. Premixed mixture.
