If I stay very far away from my lab, how can I study floral morphology of my collected specimen. Should I carry a simple microscope with me during field trip, it seems funny, then what should i do if I want to preserve my flower to attain its morphological integrity, so that when i will be back in lab, i can proceed its study. Is it possible to study floral morphology from a pressed dried herbarium specimen. I will not understand color of petal etc so it seems problematic.
Please suggest what should i do if i face that kind of codition

quickly dried flowers usually keep there colours.
A field photograph is usefull however
Dry specimens soaked for 10 min in warm water can be dissected.

You could carry a pocket colour atlas for colour identity comparison in the field. Think if you will of the charts used for paint colour selection at house decoration materials shops. See also the wide range of colour atlases available on the internet.
