Hy , i am testing herboristical product with te European Pharmacopoeia method based on reaction with aluminium chloride reagent as in Birch leaf monography using spectrophotometer.
At the end of assay method says " taking the specific absorbance of hyperoside to be 500 "
Now i am looking for data of specific absorbance ( same method) for other flavonoids e.g Quercetin, Galangin , ecc ecc .
Anyone know where i can find some data ?

if you don't have this information you can take one absorbance (or transmitance) value (more propely if you do a calibration curve) and apply the Beer's law. In this case, E (especific molar absorbance) = A (absrobance)/ l (optic way)x C (molar concentration). Consider however that you're working with a target (pure) substance not a mixture. If it's not your case, the best way is to implement a calibration curve, taking various concentrations and making note the absorbation values.
