I'm looking for some shortcuts for apramycin level measurement in medicated feeds.
I currently use a method that involves the use of exchange resins, but I would like to find faster alternatives; there are few published works.
I would like to use an HPLC method without a mass detector.
What is instrument that you plan to analyse the apramycin? However please take a look at this link (page 31). And also another publish paper as attached file. Hope it help.

Hi, I thank you for the reply.
We use HPLC both with derivatization and without, but the biggest problem is the sample preparation which currently requires a purification on an ion exchange resin column.
This takes us a long time and we would like to know if there are alternatives for the preparation of the sample.
Unfortunately we only have standard instruments with UV detector, fluorimetric and refractive index with all the accessories necessary for post and pre column derivatization, so we can't use ELSD or Mass.
