Feeding diets with solvent extracted soy bean meal (SBM) can affect the morphology and lead to inflammation in the distal intestine of rainbow trout, commonly referred to as soybean meal induced enteritis (SBMIE) but Atlantic salmon is even more sensitive to SBM. SBM is not commonly used in diets for salmonids, but soy protein concentrate, which doesn't contain the antinutritional factors that causes SBMIE. Other species, eg omnivorous Fish, may not develop SBMIE when fed diets containing SBM.

what you say once more confirms the results of the current our study on rainbow trout. 

I worry that can we say ORGANIC FISH fed diet containing SBM.(for rainbow trout)

if it help you i can tell you that recent development on research and investigation is aiming for fish feed containing more plant protein concentrates and less FM

And one of many challenges with this is to get a proper combination of these ingredients and the use of certain enzymes such as phytase to get rid of the malicious effect of anti nutrients present in soybean meal

Regarding the organic matter, if soy plant origin is organic it may be enough to get an organic certification if the phytase enzyme incorporated is also organically produced

There is no place for 100% animal protein containing feeds for aquaculture in the near future, at least that is my humble opinion

Feed comprises the largest production cost for aquaculture industries in which it is extremely high, being up to 70% of the total cost. For this reason, the research for alternatives to fish meal is one of the first international research priorities. Soybean meal and other plant protein induces enteritis in the distal intestine of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout. When producing organic feed and fish, these substances must be investigated effects on the fish intestine and liver inflammation.

The report of soyabean meal induced enteritis, which has been described severally, and  confirmed in my research on phytase,  may be the possible mechanism by which phosphorus absorption was reduced and hence, a reduction in phosphorus digestibility was observed in full fat soya bean with or without phytase in full fat soya bean, which is attached as PUBLICATION below. The result was the higher level of faecal phosphorus compared to control. Therefore the need for an alternative protein source for continued growth of aquaculture is pertinent. The soybean meal affected all the characteristics (lamina propria, submukosa layer, stratum kompaktum, muskuler layer) assessed alterations typical for mucosal and musculer inflammation in rainbow trout distal intestine (current study).

Because of the inflammation, soybean meal should not be used in organic fish feed.
