The Institute for Life, Environmental and Climate Sciences invites you to participate in the First International Scientific Conference on International Legal Aspects of Climate Change. “(...) as long as the threats caused by global warming are not tangible, direct or visible in everyday life, then no matter how serious they may seem, people will sit on their hands and do nothing concrete about them." [1] [1] A. Giddens, Klimatyczna katastrofa, Warszawa 2010, p. 10. It is hard not to agree with the outstanding British sociologist. But climate change also poses many challenges for international law, international relations, international organizations, the world economy and the entire international community. That is why the scientific and expert debate on their international legal consequences in an interdisciplinary approach is so important. Hence the idea for a conference in which lawyers, political scientists, economists, sociologists and others will be able to speak. Invitations to the Scientific Committee of the Conference were accepted by many scientists from Poland and abroad.
