If what is meant here is research that involves people through interviews or other methodologies, then it is necessary to obtain the permission of the subjects through transparent procedures. The researcher has to explain to them the purpose and importance of the research and that their responses and identities will be strictly confidential. Lastly, they have to be informed about the findings of the research.
