I would like to perform a simulation of a composite structure where one layer is made by a magnetostrictive material. I would like to simulate the magneto-mechanical behavior and the hysteresis as well, using both a 1D and a 3D model. I would like to use Abaqus, as I'm planning to design a version of the model with cohesive elements; however, open-source libraries or softwares can still be an option.

I've tried to search the literature, but I haven't found much. Most use Comsol, which is not available to me.

Any suggestion on Abaqus routines (built-in or user-defined), Abaqus examples, open-source codes and case-studies in the literature would be very helpful.
