I think it depends. This made me think about some DIY gardening-based activities n nature walk in Bristol, England and trees building projects in China. Besides, one of my friends kept spreading some really good gardening techniques on WeChat channel. Consequently, many people indeed reported having more awareness about the environment, but not every single of them. I guess the reason behind this situation is that many people simply just do not have a long-term goal about what they should do. I think that having a curriculum including some gardening-based activities and environmental awareness can be one of the greatest choices. With hindsight, girls are more interested in joining such activities than boys?
Community gardening-based learning experiences effectively promote students' service-leadership and environmental awareness. Through hands-on involvement in gardening, students develop leadership skills by working together to address local environmental issues. This collaborative approach fosters a sense of responsibility and service, as students see the impact of their efforts on the community. Additionally, these experiences deepen students' understanding of sustainability and environmental challenges, making them more aware and sensitive to ecological issues. Overall, community gardening encourages both leadership and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
