Is fundamental rule of society is 'Natural Law' or any other hypothesis is available in the literature

Natural law is a system of right or justice held to be common to all humans and derived from nature rather than from the rules of society. It is based on equity, fairness, and reason, by which all man-made laws are to be measured and to which they must conform.
