I've noticed in my simulations that these values are dependent on the situation. I've found claims that increasing the condensation coefficient does not significantly change the amount of condensation occurring.
I've modeled a closed thermosyphon (heat pipe) that leverages phase change to move thermal energy. My experience has shown that I cannot achieve any amount of condensation until the condensation coefficient is about 0.5! I have not checked the sensitivity of the evaporation coefficient for my simulations.
I would play with the coefficients until you achieve the physical behavior that you need. This model is not completely physical, it attempts to approximate; so some finessing is necessary.
Do you get results in closed thermosyphonic simulation? actually i am also working on same project but i am not getting convergence in continuity equation. the global courant number is increasing slightly after every iteration and reached beyond 250.
are you using udf for model the evaporation and condensation or using lee model?
