our group is working with HUVECs for the first time and we are lacking some experience...
Does anyone know the protein yield of HUVECs? Do you have an estimation how many proteins express 1*10^6 HUVECs or how many proteins are typicaly expressed in HUVECs seeded in a confluent 6 well plate (quantification by bradford, bca etc.)?
And do you think you can get 10µg protein from confluent HUVECs in a 6 well format?
It is quite hard to find that information in literature.
I am preparing an experiment and just wanted to make sure to work with an initial good plate format :)

The investigators used HUVEC cells plated in 6-well culture plate. The cells may have been 80% confluent before treatment. The total protein content was estimated by Lowry method using BSA as standard.
See table 1- (the total protein content in HUVEC cell extract in control)…
1.71 mg/ml.
