So I have been doing IHC on sections mounted on glass slides for a while. Lots of advantages to this, but one disadvantage is double labeling of proteins in single neurons. For this part of my work I have to move to IHC in free floating sections. Have not done this since I was a graduate student. I am having a tough time finding wells designed for free floating sections. Before I embark on making my custom wells, is there companies that specifically sell boats and holders for free floating IHC?
Our laboratory does the majority of our IHCs in free floating sections. We use polystyrene multi-well plates and we have not run into issues with them yet. Falcon is the company that makes the plates, but you can also get them from other vendors such as Thomas Scientific or Corning. Thanks much @ Daniel Gray. Also might seem like a silly question, but you pipette the solution from the trays when you switch from washes to antibody incubation? There was a company that made wells with a net at the bottom and a large well that held all of the smaller wells. But I guess the plate you showed me you would need a pipette to individually decant wells?
