What do you think about the role of Cities Masterplans to fight against the urban sprawl? ...Maybe, it is a good research question.
In general, the scientific literature affirms that urban sprawl is a negative issue, unsustainable and promotes the private car usage, as seen in the majority of US cities.
Also, we have the question of socio-spatial segregation, i.e. richer living in centers and poorer living in urban periphery...
There are multi intersting questions about this matter.
