Would you please advise me from where I could find a free version of Wong's Emotional Intelligence Scale (WEIS) or the “Bar-On model of emotional and social intelligence”?
If it is commercially published, then it will not be available for free. You might try contacting, Dr. Wong directly (I think this email address works: [email protected]).
You also might want to try contacting the folks at Yale's Center for Emotional Intelligence. I know they have some scales they use in research, and I am sure they will try to be helpful. See the link below.
The London Psychometric Laboratory provide copies of the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TEIQue) in various forms (plus scoring keys) for free (though they suggest a donation). Hope this helps.
If you are interested, I can send you the Emotional Skills and Competence Questionnaire (ESCQ) we developed and it has cross culturally validated. The info about ESCQ you can find at: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/235938207_Emotional_Skills_and_Competence_Questionnaire_ESCQ_as_a_self-report_measure_of_emotional_intelligence
Have a nice day.

Hi there. I recently completed research on emotional intelligence and I used the PEC Scale which measures five core emotional competencies. Depending on what your focus is it could be useful to you. It is free of charge to use for research purposes and can be accessed through the EIS Consortium. Here is the link http://www.eiconsortium.org/measures/pec.html I hope this helps! Good Luck!
I would like to request permission to use the Wong's Emotional Intelligence Scale (WEIS). Please forward me a copy of the same with interpretation of scores
This is only a question-and-answer thread on a nerdy social media platform. Dr. Wong is not involved in any way. But if you scroll through the responses you may find contact information for Wong's lab.
The Bar-On assessments are published by MHS. The address at the end of this reply will take you to where it can be purchased. It is copyrighted and not a free measure. https://storefront.mhs.com/collections/eq-i-yv
You could ask the publishers whether they have a program to assist financially struggling researchers. Otherwise you will need to look for an alternative measure. I get it; I've been in the same position several times. But just stealing what we want isn't a good solution.
