I am very supportive of what you say about "embracing" the new technology and strongly hold the opinion that if people use it, they should acknowledge it, such as in a journal article. To extend my opinion, banning it altogether makes us lose the opportunity and do a lot of tasks manually and less well.

Some publishers have such a policy (about using AI constructively) in place.
