I studied some research articles in which researchers had tried to find out the relation of r value with precipitates.  Although there experiments indicated that with the increase of r value, polymeric content increases while formation of precipitates take less time. They conducted different analysis including FTIR, XRD and SEM to find out relation of r value with precipitates formation but they concluded with strange result that r value has no effect on structure and morphology of sample.

Can anyone help me out by explaining that why with the increase of r value, stability of sample decreases i.e. precipitates form in relatively less time while keeping in view its no relation with chemical structure?
