I'm a university student searching for industrial manufacture of swine blood plasma powder. I know that EDTA binds calcium in blood preventing prothrombin -> thrombin turn fibrinogen -> fibrin and stop blood coagulation.

What i'm asking is do we remove EDTA from the blood plasma compound before spray-dried it or we just leave it there? (and what will happen to the binding properties if we leave it there?)

Thank you for your attention.
