I would like to become an editor of a board of some online journal, but I'm not really familiar with the process of hiring the editors. Could I send an application for example with an argumentation, or do the main editors usually contact the right people on their own? Maybe someone can help with the links where such positions are still open?
Except chief editor and senior editor, no other posts are advertised.
It has two ways.
1) Editors directly contact the researcher to be on the board ( this usually happens with good network and ur capabilities)
2) The researcher contacts the editor or the editorial office with an EOI (expression of interest ) to contribute to the field/journal.

Thank´s a lot Deepak! I will try this way. I also generated my profile by bmc publishing group with my interests, etc and they sent me a manuscript within a couple of days. So apparently at some journals they check the user profiles..
