I am doing web crippling analysis and it requires more time to converge. I used Dynamic explicit method. Is there any way to reduce the time taken to run instead of changing mesh sizes. Go with the static general may not give accurate results as loads increments are applied using UTM. If there is any way to reduce the run time Please be kind enough to let me know.

in dynamic explicit you can use "mass scaling" factor to decrease simulation time. keep in mind that you should find the optimum mass scaling factor by experience based on your model. so try from lower factor.

Mass scaling may affect to the accuracy of results. So that going with a lower scale is optional as you said. Instead of going with mass scaling go with quasi-static analysis is recommended or not Aria Ghabussi
