Your question is troubling. Learning a complex analytical technique such as HPLC or LC-MS analysis is not like learning how to use a pH meter or balance. Anyone can be trained in how to use a pH meter (multi-level calibration) or analytical lab balance in a day. However, learning HPLC or LC-MS is completely different and best done in an industrial lab environment. *Please ask your employer to hire someone experienced in these techniques to assist or train you. Please begin your quest with formal training in HPLC first, then LC-MS followed by formal training in the use and operation of the special software used (provided by the instrument manufacturer or a knowledgeable third party specialist company). If you have professionals who can mentor your training locally, this process should take a few to several years to obtain a basic level of proficiency. I also strongly recommend that after you have obtain formal training in the basic fundamentals of HPLC and LC-MS analysis, you also consider attending the instrument manufacturer's own classes to teach you some of the specifics in how to use THEIR specific instruments (same as you have and use). Each time you use different instruments, you will need additional training to do so. This process will help you to learn the basics in a more efficient manner (saving time and money).
It is not that straightforward process that you imagine. If you have the instrument but not the expertise, then you have wasted your money buying that instrument.
First you need to know the basics of chromatography (this is the LC). When you are familiar with LC, then you need to learn the MS theory, technique, and applications. Then you can learn the difference between MS and MSMS. Then the LCMSMS would make sense. This process is lengthy and requires multiple knowledge bases and skills.
Let me ask you this question: what type of sample matrix you would like to analyze? and what is the analyte of interest?

Also, please take the time to read one or more of the classic texts on HPLC as suggested before. The web is not a suitable source for learning something as complex as this in a few posts.

There is no book that will teach you how to operate an LC/MS system or how to perform HPLC. The books are great for teaching and presenting you with the concepts you will need to learn. Only practical experience in an industrial laboratory will best provide you with initial training.
