We use the LiBr to dissolve fibroin. Later dialysis process will conduct. During this, injected 10 ml solution is increased to around 30 ml after 3days later. So, please any one explain this phenomenon.
It probably occurred because the osmolarity of the solution inside the dialysis membrane was much higher than the osmolarity outside the membrane. This creates an osmotic pressure that causes water to flow into the membrane, diluting the sample until the osmotic pressure is equalized. Meanwhile, the salt inside the membrane passes through the membrane and is diluted, relieving the osmotic pressure.
