I am writing an article and I need to show some concepts using graphs and pictures.
Is there any software with which I can draw medical pictures? What about concept maps?
Are there any medical websites giving medical images for free and without copyright?

For concept outlining, Bubbl.us is great; I prefer MindNode: done an entire book outline on it!

It's an online app that contains a library of pre-made cells, proteins, membrane shapes, organs, lab equipment, etc. that you can drag-and-drop so you don't have to spend time drawing each element of the figure yourself. Saves a LOT of time and the final figures you create are professional-looking. Plus, it's free for educational use.
You can draw simple graph and picture by PowerPoint, when it comes to to draw a picture of biological system, use Chemdraw software. It is free and easily available
Power-point is easy software for concept mapping. Also for some complex picture illustration, Gimp software can be used.
Best and readily available software for creating accurate graphs/pie-charts etc. is Microsoft Excel. Just key in the data and get the suitable output in the form of a graph. select the data, press 'Insert' on the toolbar above and select the appropriate graph from the 'recommended charts' option.
If you want to draw freehand with assimilation and modifications from self-drawn models or previous images, Adobe Draw is a very useful tool. Using an iPad makes it super easy!
