Hello everyone, I have doubts for staining for CD204 (SR-A or MSR1) in C57BL/6 mice, does anyone know a company that sells this antibody for flow cytometry that works in C57BL/6 mice? It seems that most companies sell a clone that is unsuitable in C57BL/6 strain.
Clone 2F8 from AbdSerotech gives quite specific staining in the B6 spleen.
Our lab used goat polyclonal MSR1 antibody (AF1797) from R&D Systems. An Alexa Fluor-594 donkey anti-goat antibody was used as secondary antibody for flow cytometry.

Thanks people. We order the MSR1 Alexa 647 from Serotec, and it worked quite well (regardless the fact Serotec said it wouldnt be suitable to C57BL6!).

I am glad that it worked. However, it might cause some problems after submission. For our paper, we initially used (as far as I could remember) the Serotec antibody for flow cytometry. The reviewers asked us to repeat every single experiment with another antibody for MSR1, then to omit data showing use of Serotec antibody and replace with data obtained using the other Ab (even though both showed identical results). I hope you will have better luck with the review process.
