Yes, it is true. Since one of the most advantageous aspects of social media for elderly person is that it allows them to communicate with loved ones who live in other parts of the world. Many recent studies have emphasized the important effects that the social media have on older adults living on their own and at care homes. It provides them with the opportunity to engage with others and feel connected to family and friends who they previously felt distant from.

As opportunities take the younger generation farther and farther away from the places of their birth, the elderly will certainly feel somewhat relieved to chat with their loved ones and also see them. This is a positive step indeed and there is no denying it. Those who are academic or intellectual among the elderly will certainly feel happier to stay connected with members of similar interests provided such interests are kept alive even after retirement.
