Thank you for your question, you can use easy way, gallic acid as standard is available cheap,and stable, so in this situation you do not need to use potassium acetate. if you interested in that please have a look at my paper attachment.

for Total flavonoids, i followed Aluminium chloride method with Pot acetate. For standard, Quercetin or rutin is good choice.

For analysis, if you are using AlCl 3 then no need to use potassium acetate.

I agree.

It is better to use potassium acetate along with standard. With Rutin as standard it is not required, but if used it does not affect the estimation.

why it is needed the potassium acetate with the Quercetin standard?

It is immaterial whether it is potassium acetate or plumbum acetate, it requires acetate at near neutral pH.
