I know it sounds like a stupid question. It is for a final project I am doing in a statistics class; I am a data analytics major. We were given two videos to watch on seasonal forecasting and trend (not covered anywhere in the class or in the textbook) using dummy variables. I need to do it for months; the examples are quarters. I have only recently started using Excel-for statistics.
When I researched how to do linear regression, forecasting analysis, etc. I came upon many articles (inc.com, investopedia.com, businessreference.com) that talked about using the Forecast Sheet under Data in Excel. And the Excel Help function states that it adjusts for seasonality.
My instructor says it doesn't.
