Hi! I would suggest that H2O2 and t-BOOH share remarkable similarities in their effect on cell signaling e.g. on hypoxia-inducible-gene expression (HIF). Very long ago I have worked with both compounds and in both cases HIF was supressed (apart from other effects). The main difference is the intracellular half-life, which is much higher in t-BOOH. It may be possible that t-BOOH cannot be degraded by catalase in contrast to H2O2. Please wait for real expert opinions or verify my answer by literature research before planning any experiments.
