It seems the GS do not allow to calculate the JIF as proposed by ISI and SCOPUS.

The only thing available is to compare the first 20 top h5 ranked journals within disciplines..

Yes you can calculate, but it will require a little effort to work it out.

1. work out the number of research article published by the journal during the two preceding years for which your want to calculate the I.F

2. find out the number of citations received by these published articles during the year, you want to calculate the I.F

It often happens that the citations to articles are recorded with some deviations from the original name... this will bring some incertitude in the calculation. But in fact it is the same with WOK and SCOPES which recode many "secondary documents" with writing variations.

Hi,

The impact factor from GS data will be very different from that of the World of Science, because of the quantity of data measured. The Publish or Perish database does the calculation for you, or at least it gives you the data in a way that you could calculate the impact factor yourself. In principle, you should divide the number of citations in 2017 to the journal you measure, by the number of publications of this journal in the last two years, 2015 and 2016.

Web of knowledge scopus and research gate give the IF of any indexed journal according to the same equation.

But GS only gices h5 while it gets all the informations to calculate the IF with the same equations

I wonder if somebody have ever found how to do that.
