Many productions are not indexed (or very few) by Web of knowledge or Scopus , like maps, codes, participation to conferences (most of them), posters, research notes, thesis, books, etc...

Among these productions, some of them get a very high number of citations, which are not taken into account as regular citations, and so are not sued to calculate the current WOK and Scopus h index for individuals. But they are visible on Google Scholar and Researchgate.

These productions are also visible in WOK and Scopus so called "secondary documents", but are not counted as valuable citations, despite they are cited in indexed papers in that case.

Does this mean that these works do not deserve any scientific interest?

Should not they be also counted as any other citation by web of knowledge and scopus ?
