I'm trying to import a project from Cadna to Google Earth. Apparently GE use GCS and WG84 but when I try to export a cadna project choosing these coordinates system it looks the wrong one!
I am also struggling with this problem. Probably the issue is on the CadnaA package deal, meaning that the ability to export as a kml file or web bitmap is missing. Please, check in CadnaA “options” regarding the bitmap selection. If you can’t select it, then the option is left out. This is the reason why i cant import my cadnaA projects directly into GE.
Nevertheless, I have been trying to bypass this.
This is what I got so far:
· I use QGiS in order to digitize the area of interest
· I import shapefiles directly into CadnaA where I produce noise maps
· Then I export the project as a bitmap file
· After that I import the bitmap file as a raster file back in QGiS on top of the digitized basemap
· Then I polygonize the imported raster file using the options: Raster --> Conversion --> Raster to Vector
· The final product is a shp file that combines the digitized area and the added bitmap (noise map from CadnaA)
· The specific final shp file could be easily imported in Google Earth but the colours are offset
I hope that helped. If you find a better solution please share!
Hi, perhaps the reason is CadnaA does not work with geographic coordinates, you need to use planar coordinates such us UTM etc. This happens in SoundPLAN. You can project the shapefiles in Arcgis or Qgis.
