🧾 Background:
At SUSCAP, our work focuses on business excellence, sustainability, and organizational development – with a particular emphasis on the “S” in ESG. While environmental and governance topics are increasingly supported by metrics, technological tools, and regulatory frameworks, the social dimension often remains intangible and difficult to quantify.
In our practical conversations with SMEs and transformation leaders, we frequently encounter questions such as: “What does it cost?”, “Where is the ROI?”, or “Do we really have time for this?”
This raises a broader research question: Must social sustainability be translated into measurable ROI to gain legitimacy – or do we need to develop alternative frameworks of justification and evaluation?
We invite researchers from management studies, sustainability science, organizational psychology, and related disciplines to share their theoretical perspectives, empirical findings, or critical reflections.
