Hi world, I'm curious about whether having to put nanofiltration on the first phase then reverse osmosis on the second phase to desalt seawater that has a roughly 35000ppm of TDS will lower down the pressure requirement of the RO process or the overall energy requirement of whole process?

Since after NF, the TDS in seawater will be lowered and during RO process less pressure will be require to turn the seawater (after NF stage) into drinkable water. Does this actually work in terms of having a lower energy requirement in the overall process?
