Hello friends, my article has been published in AIJRPreprint online and it is also available on Google Scholar. Would it be count as a publication in my CV?
No, preprints are not peer-reviewed publications. However, you can organise your CV through making separate headings.
You can list your published articles under the heading 'Published Articles/Papers' and list your preprints under different heading 'Preprints'. Also, it is wise not to put the same study under both headings. If the preprint is already published in a journal, you put it under the first heading and only list the unpublished (in journals) preprints in the latter. I hope this helps.
I think preprint is a version of a scientific manuscript posted on a public server prior to formal peer review.. So can't be considered as publication...
Preprints are not subjected to review process. The idea is to present the readers an early version of the manuscript before publication to promote your research. It is equivalent to letting someone into the kitchen while the food is being cooked. It (the manuscript) is half boiled and does not carry any value until it is fully cooked (subjected to review process until final acceptance) and brought to the dining table (published online in a journal).
