I am producing lentivirus for my masters thesis and I do not have access to an ultracentrifuge- I have been looking for a protocol to concentrate my samples using the PEG method but there is many different molecular weights being used. We have PEG3350 in the department that I would be able to use, but i am seeing protocols using mugh higher mw like 6000 or some lower like 3000. Does it matter the molecular weight?

Within that size range it probably doesn't matter too much since the specified size is just the average size for that stock. 3350 is essentially the same as 3000 which the literature says works.
