I have suspected that dark energy (probably a misnomer) arises from a ratio of lengths since about the fall of 2012. I have periodically tried to improve the theory and argument. I posted a paper on RG on April 19, 2019 called Size, scaling, and invariant ratios

which attempts to simplify and generalize the theory. It seems to work. Even if it is valid, at best a way station on the way to something better. And no matter how much a theory might seem to cohere, there are always many ways for things to be wrong. If you have time, do you think the ideas make sense?
The so-called 'Dark energy' arise clearly from unknowingness.
But scientists have to search for real causes and connections and not to declare the reality by their own mystical inventions.
Compare please with particle physics: The theoreticians are not able to declare the 'particle zoo' with the definite detected particles. Instead of this they invent more and more additional particles, e.g. "quarks".
