I am Assistant at a Dance Academy and lately there is a girl who does not come. They told me that it is afraid to come. I know she suffers bullying at her school The same girls from his school come to the dance.I have never happened to me, so i'm investigating whether it could be the case of bullinying in dande classes, and what is the reason the girl does no attend.
Personally, I think that just as you experience bullyng in school, you can also experience in extracurricular activities, gangs of friends and even in a park where a group of children play. As a personal recommendation I suggest that you discuss the situation with the minor's parents so that they are aware of the problem that their daughter is experiencing and also with the parents of the minors who harass the girl so that they themselves are the ones who try to put A solution to this problem in which his daughters are the ones who cause suffering to another.
I am in the Parent Teacher Association where my daughter is studying and am aware of a case which happened outside school and it was a case of bullying.
I experienced bullying in school, and it also continued from the same people when I went to my dance academy. Later, when I began teaching at this dance academy in High School, bullying continued and I had the chance to see it form a teacher's perspective. Hope that helps!
Bullying can take place anywhere even among adults in the workplace. It involves an imbalance of power which is repeated in a verbal, physical, social or psychological aggressive manner by a person or group directed towards a less powerful person who is victimized.
I feel school is often the starting place for bullying but once the victim is chosen it can happen anywhere. I do not actually know about bullying starting in extracurricular activities settings and I think this should be investigated. There can be a difference in the approach and motivations of people attending extracurricular activities, perhaps.
I think that unfortunately what we need for bullying to happen is just a group of people (not only children), who meet on a regular basis, and the imbalance of power, combined with the aim to hurt the other person either emotionally or physically, which as Theresa Mollenthiel said will than occur in some form of aggressive behavior. So, yes, it is definitely possible. Bullying is not a prerogative of school.
