I came across a note that resistant varieties show susceptibility to other insects. Is it true for bt brinjal? Please help me with scientific reference.
There is a possible for infestation of other insects on Bt crops, I dont have any scientific references. But, I have observed mealy bug infestation on Bt cotton.
I have observed that several BT corn varieties resistant to corm earworm, Helicoverpa zea, are not resistant to its Asian relative. Although I am not familiar with Bt brinjal, I can be sure that it very unlikely to work against all other insects. I suspect if you threw some of your ripe Bt eggplant fruits out in the garden to rot and watched them, flies and other insects would eat them, hence you might see a variety of insects to which they are not immune. Try looking up Bt brinjal using Google Scholar.
The following paper says effect of Bt in maize on aphids is apparently only minor. But it also cites a lot of relevant material.

May or may not be... In case of Bt cotton almost all varieties of Bt cotton are now susceptible to pink ball worm. So after some time there will be chance of development of susceptibility of varieties against other insect pests of may be against FSB too. Considering FSB problem in brinjal Bt brinjal is developed, if the parental source is susceptible for any of the other pests then definitely it will exhibited in Bt brinjal. But we cannot said that the resistant varieties show susceptibility to other insects. If the parental sources having resistant gene naturally then it may not show susceptibility against resistant Bt brinjal or non Bt version of the same parents too.
