We've been studying interspecies hybridization between Ixodes ricinus and I. persulcatus and occasionally detected 16S partial sequence identical to that of I. inopinatus. However, the latter refer to unpublished publication and no newer data are available in GenBank, so I am not trust it much. It would be great if we could have some other I. inopinatus genes, such as ITS2, cytB or TROSPA to compare with those we have.
