I know it is a weird question to ask, but:
is anyone aware of any other strategy than requesting the full text on thias site? The authors don't seem to be on it and it would be really important for me to get to read these:

It is not a weird question! It is a common enough problem.
I would never rely primarily on RG to obtain articles, though it can be a useful resource. As I see it, once we've established that the full text is not freely available on-line, we have about 3-4 options:
1. Find a library that subscribes to the journal in question, go there, and read it (or make a copy to read later).
2. Ask for help from your own library (inter-library loan). It may help if you know of at least one library that actually subscribes to the journal, since your librarians may or may not be highly skilled at finding them.
3. Find contact information on the authors and contact them! The problem you have here is that the articles in question were published a quarter-century ago. The authors probably have changed jobs since then, and may well have retired, which makes it much more complicated to find them - and less likely that they will still have copies to send. If your field maintains a data base of publications, you should look for the most recent paper the person has published & see where they were working at the time. Another option might be to identify a co-author on a recent paper who can be contacted, and ask them for help.
4. Pay the fee requested by the publisher - admittedly a last resort, since they charge a lot!
