I guess the two pictures show the same organism, one is from the inside. It was taken on sugarcane with SEM. Could it be amoebe or a fungal spore (guessing some sort of basidiomycete)?
I warn you that this is not my area, but that looks very much like a pollen grain to me. I have seen photo-micrographs of pollen that closely resemble your photo. I doubt that it is a mushroom spore: even at high magnification they do not have the elaborate surface ornamentation of your specimen.
Hello Barry, thanks for your answer. It is certainly possible that there are pollen grains in the sugar cane waste and these look very much like the pictures on the web. However, some of them seem to be connected to some sort of filament which could be hyphae. Puffball fungi and truffles have also spores that look similar. I guess both are present in the sample. It is so difficult to find out what is what.
It appears that I misspoke myself. Having looked around on the web, I agree that there are some basidiomycete spores that do have the complex ornamentation seen in your photos. So the identification will have to rely on someone more expert than me.
