I have seen this quoted in a few different places, and it's an interesting way to conceptualise just how much Haber-Bosch derived Nitrogen is around. I had first thought to find statistics on the kilograms/weight of fertiliser produced by the process annually, since it was first utilised, but inevitably, records aren't easy to find...an esimate in terms of how much of our food relies on the process, such as this "50%" comment, would be great..but I've had difficulty finding the originating paper or source for the observation? Thanks anyone for more info :)
