Does anyone know the difference between structured(capillary) and unstructured(porous_medium) two phase flow?

I'm trying to do CFD simulations for two phase flow in porous media. But i want to know what is the difference between flow in capillary and the flow in porous medium. It would be better if anyone explain me the difference in terms of relative permeability.
